2025 – The Year of Intentional Growth

It’s inevitable—my brain goes into overdrive during the holidays. But not in a bad way. Every year, I take some time to reflect on the past 12 months, reminding myself of the wins, the lessons, and the memories I’ve tucked away. I truly love this time of year, and as someone with Futuristic in my CliftonStrengths profile, I’m always eager to turn my attention toward what’s ahead. The beginning of a new year is the perfect opportunity to let my dreams and goals run wild.

Each January, I design a new planner for myself. Yes, you read that right—I’m also Individualization, so a generic planner just won’t do. There’s something about clean, fresh pages that just feels full of possibility. I carry it everywhere—filling it with notes, ideas, something funny my kids said, and, most importantly, my goals. Having them written down right in front of me helps keep me on track and accountable.

I’m a big believer in accountability, which is why I usually share my goals with a small circle of friends who check in on me. It’s been a really helpful system. But this year, I’m doing something a little out of my comfort zone and I’m putting my goals out there for anyone to read.

My focus for 2025 is growth. Now, I know that all goals are about growth in some way, but this year, I’m making personal growth a priority. As a mom of three (8, 6, and 3), I know my kids are always watching me. They’re discovering how to care for themselves, how to chase their dreams, and how to grow into kind and responsible individuals. So, I want to be the best version of myself—not just for me, but for them too.

With that in mind, I’m setting goals around three main areas this year: family, health, and career.

  1. Family – I want to be fully present with my kids, showing them what it looks like to live intentionally.
  2. Health – I want to grow stronger—physically and mentally—and prove that you can have a fulfilling career while making time for health and self-care.
  3. Career – I want to empower the people around me—whether it’s my kids, my team, or the incredible clients we serve.

Afterall, personal development is professional development.

What excites me about these goals is that they’re about balance and progress rather than striving for perfection. I know I’m not alone in this, but in the past, I’d set the bar so high that it felt almost unachievable. My ambitions would start strong, but by the end of the year, I’d feel defeated or less than when I didn’t reach those unrealistic targets.

This year, I’m taking a different approach—a softer, kinder approach. Consistent effort, rather than chasing some perfect outcome. If I fall off track, I know I can simply get back on—no shame, no guilt—just a reset and a renewed focus. It’s about staying in the game, even when things don’t go exactly as planned.

Now, it’s your turn. What goals are you setting for yourself this year? How are you prioritizing growth in your life? Let’s hold each other accountable and make 2025 the year of intentional progress.
